God, Are You There ? ?

Your beautiful creation Planet Earth
is getting polluted by poisonous factories,
infectious industries, crowded streets,
garbage and filth....
God, are You there ?


Human beings created by Your image,
are reduced to ashes by bomb-blasts,
cold murders, untoward accidents,
tsunamis and natural calamites....
God, are You there ?


Men in power, the elected few
are self-centered with abundant wealth,
fortunate health, excess money,
over-flowing honey....
God, are You there ?


The energetic youth, with formal education,
by your blessing is totally depressed,
with no sense of duty, feelings of insecurity,
no opportunity to prove one's ability....
God, are You there ?


The rich get doubly fed.
The hungry long for a piece of bread.
Moral values gone astray,
Might is Right, is here to stay....
God, are You there ?


Women tortured,
Children slaughtered.
Justice denied,
Evil glorified ....
God, are You there ?


No love, no peace, no trust, no care
Each one thinks of his own welfare.
Old and aged, neglected by their own,
Human hearts turning to stone....
God, are You there ?


Violence and terror on the rise,
Vulgarity on display.
Money rules the world,
Mankind going astray....
God, are You there ?


Rampant corruption,
Widespread destruction,
Dreams shattered, Hopes lost,
Tears shed, over people dead....
God, are You there ?


Broken relations, divided families,
Failing marriages, shattered homes,
Brother against brother,
Nations against another ....
God, are You there ?


Politicians gamble for votes and notes.
Greed and competition everywhere.
Life has become a rat race,
No one has time to spare ....
God, are You there ?


In the name of religion,
hatred they spread,
ready to kill another,
ready for bloodshed....
God, are You there ?


No love, no mercy,
only disgust and pity,
A world full of hatred,
A world without humanity...
God, are You there ?


Dear God, I pray
for peace and unity.
I pray for the world to live
in solidarity.


Yes, I'm sure
You're the God of Love...
